Your business details

Settings → Business Identity holds the handful of facts everything else in CLEO is built on: who you are, what clock you keep, and what money you count in. Teach CLEO the essentials about your business.

Most of it you set once. Two settings are worth understanding properly, because they quietly govern the rest of the product.

Who you are

• Business name — what CLEO calls you, everywhere.
• Industry — in your own words.
• Business code — read-only: CLEO manages this code for you.
• Logo — PNG, JPG or WEBP. Maximum 5 MB.

Under Contact information, the email, phone and website CLEO can use where your business is presented — including on your booking page, if someone can't book and needs to reach you.

Under Branding: Choose the colours CLEO should use for this business. They matter most when CLEO also builds your website.

Save changes saves the lot — Business identity updated successfully.

The clock

Regional settings — Set the defaults CLEO uses for time and money.

Timezone is your business's own clock, and CLEO reasons in it rather than in whatever zone your phone happens to be in. The list is the Canadian zones, from Newfoundland Time through to Pacific Time.

It decides:

• What "today" means — on Home, in Attention, on the calendar, and for anything overdue or due today.
• Your booking hours — the hours you set, the dates that are different, and every free time CLEO offers.
• What a customer sees on your booking page, which says which zone the times are in.
• The day money arrived — payments carry a day, and it's your day.
• When your month turns over for CLEO usage.

The money

Currency is your default — what CLEO assumes when you don't say otherwise. The list offers CAD - Canadian Dollar and USD - US Dollar.

What it actually does is narrow:

• It's the currency already selected when you record a payment or refund.
• It's the currency Top customers opens on when you've taken money in more than one.

What this screen doesn't do

• It doesn't decide what appears in your menu — that's Turning parts of CLEO on and off.
• It doesn't set your working hours. The name and the clock live here; when you work lives in Hours, special dates and booking rules.
• It doesn't hold your people — that's Your team.
