Speaking to CLEO, and past conversations
Speak your question, hear the reply, and find an earlier conversation.
You can talk to CLEO instead of typing, have its replies read back to you, and come back to a conversation you had last week. None of it is a separate assistant — it's the same CLEO, reached a different way.
Speaking a question
Press Speak beside the box and talk. The button becomes Stop, and CLEO shows you where it's up to: Listening… tap Stop when you’re done.
A recording runs up to a minute, and stops itself at the limit.
What comes back is text in the box, not a sent question. You read it, fix anything it misheard, and press Ask yourself.
The button only appears where your browser can record and where voice is switched on for your business. If you don't see it, typing works exactly the same.
Is the recording kept?
No. The audio is used to produce the text and is then gone — it isn't stored on your record or anywhere else. The same is true in reverse: when CLEO reads a reply aloud, the sound is produced for that moment and kept nowhere.
What is kept is the ordinary conversation: your question as text, and CLEO's reply.
Having replies read aloud
Each reply has a Listen control. Press it and CLEO reads that reply; press again to stop. A very long answer is read down to a sensible length, with a note saying so.
Under Read replies aloud you can change when it happens:

Your past conversations
CLEO keeps the conversations you've had so you can come back to them. History opens the list, grouped by when you last used each one: Today, Yesterday, This week and Older. Open one and the whole exchange is there, oldest first.
New conversation starts a clean one.
Rename gives a conversation your own title — useful once you have a few. The title is whatever you type; CLEO doesn't rewrite it.
Archive takes one out of your list. CLEO asks first: Archive this conversation? It leaves your list; nothing else changes.
Nothing is deleted — the exchange stays in your business's record — but there is no button on this screen to bring an archived conversation back into the list, so archive one you're genuinely finished with.
Who can see a conversation
A conversation belongs to your business and to the person who had it — the sign-in you used. Someone else on your team signing in sees their own conversations, not yours.
How much CLEO remembers
Within one conversation, CLEO carries the last few turns with it, so you can say "and what about her?" and be understood. It is a short window on purpose — it keeps a long conversation from drifting, and keeps each answer grounded in a fresh reading of your records.
That's also why a prepared change doesn't survive in an old conversation: reopen one and the card is gone. Ask again and CLEO prepares it fresh, against today's facts.
